Is it Possible to either get the GED or drop out of highschool at 16 in Illinois?

I'm already home schooled online, and one way or another, I would be getting the GED. I don't want to hear "don't do it" because I'm a musician, and right now, I'm not doing any music. From my research you have to be 17 for both, but are there any exceptions?
