Someone hit my head. Im scared to go to sleep if I have a concussion.?!?

Someone was running towards me with their hand out. As they were running, fast, their hand made contact with my head when I wasnt looking. Hit hurt pretty bad when they first hit me. I had like an instant headache but it lasted for only 30 seconds, mabey a minute. Now i think im fine, but Im not sure, and I dont know how to tell. Im scared to go to sleep cause ive heard you will die in your sleep if you go to sleep with a head injury. It has been an hour since i got hit. How long should I wait? please, inform me with symptoms, any tests that I can take for myself? Please help, im scared.
