How do I convince my mom to let me try out for tv auditions?

My life time goal has been to be and actress and musician. Everytime I try to explain this to my mom, she blows It off and acts like I'm joking. How do I convince her that this is what I want to do with my life and that I am fully dedicated to it? HELP!!!!!
