I hit my head pretty hard today?

I was walking down a ramp today and my feet slipped out from under me and i hit the side of my head on the concrete rise of the sidewalk type thing. i hit it quite hard and it left a huge bump thats tender, but i never got a headache or was dizzy or anything.Just pain right on impact. It just felt the same as if id gotten hit any other place on my body. in other words, im pretty sure i don't have a concussion or other issue. Though i feel completely fine, the bump is pretty big, tender, and if this makes sense, is numb, but hurts a little when i touch it. I think it's just bruised and swollen, but it being on my head and all makes me a little more worried. I have no other problems other than a welt that would be the same anywhere else...should i be worried?
